The Type O+ was designed and spec'ed for riders just entering BMX and wanting a rear freecoaster hub to have the abilitly to learn backwards rolling tricks while being easy on the wallet and still looking like a high end model. The Type O XL is designed and spec'ed for taller riders just entering BMX needing a longer 21" top tube while being budget friendly and still looking like a high end model.
